Huckleberry Finn

“You lemme catch you fooling around that school again, you hear. I’ll tan you good.” The dad in the story The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is a very evil man. He forbids Huck Finn from going to school. He also left his young son knowing that his mother had died. To top things off he is an abusive alcoholic.

Huckleberry Finn’s dad does not let him go to school because he doesn’t want Huck to be better than him. Huck’s dad thinks that if Huck goes to school he will become a smarty-pants. He wants Huck to be dumb just like him.

In the beginning of the story you hear little about Hucks pap. That is because Huckleberry Finn dad left and abandoned his young son whose mother died before his dad left. He did not want to take care of his responsibilities. Hucks wished his father were dead.

When Huck’s father drinks he abuses Huck. He threatens Huck all the time to make his bottom tan, and to cowhide him. He throws Huck’s books so that he can’t read. He abuses Huck constantly

In conclusion the dad in the story The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is a terrible father. He is an abusive alcoholic. He left his family and forbid Huck to go to school. You should be glad your not Huck Finn.
